ecc wrapped

a full year has (nearly) come to its end. shall we reflect together?

it starts simple: roasting coffee.
but that's not where it ends. it has been:

community

what a strong and growing community 'round here. this year, we got to see:

  • the addition of many new wholesale partners alongside the continued, delightful partnership of many more: partners, we wouldn't be here with you. thank you.
  • community collaborations with some incredible local groups:

additionally,

  • 250+ people chose to source their coffee (home & business) from ecc
  • we got the chance to host our first public ecc event, the ecc latte art throwdown (see below), and the community showed up
  • stay tuned: next year, we're launching updated private classes & drafting new ideas for the ecc community

in so many ways, thank you all.

thanks to you, we have a growing community, which means a similarly growing team:

  • in may, jacob seger joined our team as the new director of coffee, maintaining quality and working with our partners day-to-day.
  • in october, we welcomed nic main as our director of business development, serving our community by improving ecc's form and function alike.

again, we say: thank you for joining us. it's truly a thrill to be here.

...with this growth, let's keep the train moving. we've got some stats.

what was trending?

this year, across the board, stella triumphed...

but wait, let's break it down a step further. where did most of the green, unroasted bean come from this year?

thanks to you, we got to travel a few times this year to improve, grow, & even meet our partners in person with two birds coffee in guatemala:

as the travel died down and the year neared its end, we hosted an event with a turnout we couldn't believe. y'all showed up.

we can't imagine a better time.

with 24+ competitors & 100+ attendees overall, and just so many good friends gathering 'round; let's just say we couldn't help but feel the hum of memories being made and hope for a future bright.

let's do that again sometime.

oh, let's not forget to mention, we all just survived one of the more unique & volatile times in the coffee market (see nerdy stats here).

and with that, it's a wrap.

y'all, it's been a year. a good year, a wild year, a sweet year. we have even higher hopes for next.

if you have any moments, highlights, etc. from this year you'd like to share with us, please do. we'd so love to hear what you've taken away from this year & may share them in the future!

til' next time.

roast 'em if you got em.
