Who We Are

Evansville Coffee Company is a small, artisan roastery launched by Tim Piazza in 2016 and began operation in January of 2017 working out of a custom-built concession trailer. In our second year, we grew into a commercial roastery utilizing state-of-the-art roasting and packaging systems to provide exceptionally fresh and vibrant-tasting coffee to our community and beyond. Now in our third year, we continue to expand our offerings, developing new products like our B’Chillin Cold Brew pouches and established ourselves as among the top 10% of North American roasting companies by winning three prestigious Golden Bean medals.

This unconventional business originated when two thoughts came together and sparked. The first was an awareness that the Evansville coffee scene was becoming far more sophisticated, catching up with cities like San Francisco and Seattle. The second was inspired by the announcement of Evansville’s Downtown Master Plan, including a “Maker District” for artists and entrepreneurs. I decided that my way to contribute to Evansville’s renaissance could be through my passion for cofffee and by creating an exceptional coffee brand that Evansville could call their own, as well as a business that I hope will eventually locate in Evansville’s Maker District.

I’m no stranger to the Evansville coffee scene. You might remember me from the early days of Penny Lane Coffeehouse where I could be found serving espresso drinks or jamming with local musicians. And while my role in that business is in the distant past, my passion for coffee never waned, enjoying some of the world’s best roasts at home and happily chatting about beanology and brewing methods with like-minded friends when the opportunity arose.

My vision for Evansville Coffee is that our product will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best coffees from the east coast to the west coast and beyond. Our offerings will change throughout the year and whenever new great coffees become available. We will strive to keep a few consistent blends in stock that you can count on day after day. We will always strive to produce a cup that stimulates your taste buds and adds a little happiness to your day.

Though our beginnings were humble, we were met with quick success and an opportunity to expand and grow. With greater capacity, we are able to serve our wholesale clientele and make our coffee available through more outlets, including restaurants and retail locations, If you enjoy our coffee, I hope you’ll tell your friends and encourage the businesses you frequent to consider serving Evansville Coffee.
