An adventurous and spicy coffee with low acidity and big body. Notes of cherry, dark chocolate and vanilla.
This coffee comes from smallholder farmers in the villages of Curah Tatal and Kayumas on the Ijen Plateau in eastern Java. The growers of this region have been using organic techiques for generations, cultivating a highly disease-resistant varietal known throughout Indonesia as Jember. This coffee is especially fine as an espresso, brewed in a French press, or drip-brewed.
