Black Tea, Dried Apricot, Floral, Peach, Honey are among the main flavors one can find in this cup. It has a medium body and a bright acidity. We like to roast this on the lighter side of medium for a well-developed yet sweeter cup that scores above 86+ on the cupping table.
The Limu, Oromia region has decades of Arabica coffee production on both privately and publicly owned plantations. In the past years, the farmers, as well as the washing stations, in the region became more skilled at processing their coffees. Today, the Limu qualities are far more consistent with a fine lemony acidity and subtle flavors.
Limu is still very remote. Large swaths of the land are covered with tropical rainforests. Regional farmers take advantage of the shade provided by the large forest trees and the rich soil is of course part of that terroir.
